Skiatook Lake

Skiatook lake is a short 25 minute drive north of Tulsa. Skiatook is a man- made lake fed by a few creeks. In recent years Skiatook has become a well known trophy hybrid(wiper) fishery. ODWC has also done a great job introducing Florida Strain bass to the lake. They have also developed a great population of quality smallmouth. sand bass(white bass) are also in great numbers on Skiatook. The crappie population seems to also be getting very desireable compared to recent years. some areas are limited to kayaks due to ramp availability.

Heyburn Lake

Located in Kelleyville,  Heyburn is a small man-made lake about 30 minutes southeast of Tulsa. Heyburn is  known for good bass and crappie populations . And a very fun kayaking lake 

Keystone Lake 

Keystone Lake is located closely west of Tulsa. Keystone lake is an impountment of two major river systems. The Arkansas, and the cimarraron river. Keystone has a great diversity of species. The hybrid, and striper fishing is  most common on this lake. The black bass species populations on Keystone is very exceptional. it is ranked as the third best bass lake in Oklahoma . OWDC has also done a great job at stocking in recent years. Crappie fishing is very good in not only numbers, but size of fish. with plenty of ramps. most of the lake can be accessed by kayak. sand bass fishing can also be lights out









Lake Bixhoma 

lake bixhoma is a small city owned lake in bixby, ok . located about 25 minutes south of Tulsa.  bixhoma is known for superb quality bass populations. the crappie quality is also very  good here as well  

Sahoma Lake

Sahoma Lake is a small city owned lake located in the Tulsa metropolitan city of sapulpa. There are two lakes in one with pretty water  also there that feeds sahoma. it is primarily used by kayak anglers, and can be a  very enjoyable experience due to its low pressure by boats. The fishing can be spectacular in both bass and crappie. The bass fishing is very promising in quanity, but also quality of fish. Crappie populations are overpopulated with stunted 7-8  inch crappie, but you can catch very high numbers on this lake. And occasionally run into a big one Its also got a small population of hybrids. 

Shell Lake 

Shell lake is also located just west of Tulsa. in the town on Sand Springs, Shell lake is anorher kayak primary lake. For the size of the lake, it has great diversity in not only the fish species, but the differing landscapes can be very enjoyable to just go see. Shell has great black bass numbers and size on shell. The crappie is like the populations on sahoma. Its overpopulated with 7-8 inch crappie , which makes for catching high numbers most days. 

               


oologah lake

oologah lake is located northeast of tulsa  about 30 minutes. Oologah is a known crappie and catfish lake . although they do have quality largemouth, and hybrid in the lake
